Intensive Behavioral Health Services (IBHS) Clinical Director oversees all aspects of the ABA services in the Intensive Behavioral Health Services (IBHS) program including day to day management of IBHS and clinical oversight of IBHS.   

 

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS/MAJOR TASKS

  1. Maintain clinical oversight of the IBHS program.
  2. Clinically supervise the ABA staff in the IBHS program per IBHS regulations.
  3. Supervise staff during hours services are provided.
  4. Complete and document a clinical record review for quality of the IBHS provided quarterly.
  5. Provide consultation for clinical staff during evenings and weekends, if needed.
  6. Maintain compliance with IBHS regulations.
  7. Provide training to IBHS staff regarding interventions and treatment.
  8. Participate in meetings regarding program development, policies and procedures, as needed.
  9. Work cooperatively with families, caregivers, and team members to provide children with the best care and treatment.
  10. Develop and implement parent training and support programs.   
  11. Follow Behavior Analyst Certification Board (BACB) guidelines and codes of conduct.
  12. Attend team meetings, as needed
  13. Understands and adheres to established Excentia Human Services policies and procedures.
  14. Maintains ongoing confidential records of client files. 
  15. Complete mandatory trainings.
  16. Keep informed of new developments in the field of behavior analysis.
  17. Ensure staff schedules meet the needs of the children served in all programs.   
  18. During times when an IBHS Lead is not available, provide ABA services in the Intensive Behavioral Health Services (IBHS) program including assessments, collect and analyze ABA data, develop individualized treatment plans and provide ABA treatment to individuals.
  19. If providing ABA services directly to individuals and families, Clinical Director will attend supervision per IBHS guidelines.
  20. Other job tasks as assigned.

 

OTHER JOB FUNCTIONS

  1. Meet with the Director of Children's Services regularly.
  2. Report safety concerns to mandated reporting agencies.
  3. Maintain confidentiality as per HIPAA and procedural safeguards.
  4. Other duties as assigned

WORKING CONDITIONS

  1. Primarily in clinic with unknown environmental challenges.
  2. Office time with exposure to toners and ink cartridges;
  3. Seasonal displays may include hay, leaves, flowers, pine needles, etc.;
  4. Noise level can be high at times.
  5. Potential exposure to communicable childhood diseases and/or other communicable diseases.
  6. Client may carry fluid or blood-borne pathogens.

Qualifications

COMMUNICATION

a.   Ability to effectively communicate with individuals served, supervisors, and co-workers, clients and parents of clients using strong and understandable language skills in reading, written work and comprehension.

 

SKILLS (Possess the following):

  1. Passion to work with individuals and families.
  2. Ability to read, analyze, and interpret common scientific and technical journals, financial reports, and professional documents.
  3. Ability to respond to common inquiries from parents, case workers, or members of the mental health provider community.
  4. Ability to effectively present information to top management, public groups, and/or board of directors.
  5. Ability to use standard office computer software.
  6. Ability to work with mathematical concepts such as probability and statistical inference.
  7. Ability to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions to practical situations.
  8. Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions.
  9. Ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form and deal with several abstract and concrete variables.
  10. The employee is regularly required to talk or hear.
  11. The employee is frequently required to stand; work; sit; use hands to finger; handle or feel objects, tools, or controls; reach with hands and arms; and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl.
  12. The employee must frequently lift and/or move up to 25 pounds.
  13. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.

 

EMPLOYMENT and EDUCATION EXPERIENCE

  • Be Licensed in the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania as a physician practicing psychiatry, psychologist, professional counselor, marriage and family therapist, certified registered nurse practitioner with mental health certification, clinical social worker, social worker, behavioral specialist or other professional with a scope of practice that includes overseeing the provision of ABA services and have one of the following: certification as a BCBA or other graduate-level certification of behavior analysis that is accredited by the National Commission for Certifying Agencies or the American National Standards Institute AND A minimum of 2 years experience in providing ABA services OR
  • Be licensed in the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania as a psychologist and have a minimum of 5 years of full time experience providing clinical oversight of an ABA program and a minimum of 40 hours training related to ABA approved by the Department or provided by a continuing education provider approved by the Behavior Analysist Certification Board or be licensed as a psychologist and have a graduate degree or graduate certificate in ABA from an accredited college or university.

 

OTHER

Commonwealth of Pennsylvania Child Protective Service Act (Act 33) compliance and FBI clearance, NSOR, Valid Pennsylvania Driver’s license/ acceptable driving record.
