Summary
The Host ensures the smooth running of the greeting process in Madison’s and its outlets. This includes set-up for service, greeting guests, ensuring an effective seating process and great customer service.
Responsibilities
- Ensure all tables are properly set prior to seating guests
- Maintain seating chart on the reservations system
- Ensure table revenue is maximized
- Greet and seat properly and issue menus according to company standard
- Answer phones and take reservations, always following the correct procedures
- Ensure room service ordering procedures are maintained and accurate
- Organize and maintain a clean, presentable greeting podium
- Ensure menus are clean and prepared before every shift
- Be familiar with the hotel facilities, hours of operation and outlet locations
- Have attention to detail to ensure the restaurant and host area look inviting for our guests
- Due to the nature of this position, confidentiality is always required
- Other duties and responsibilities may be assigned at the discretion of the Maître D’
