Description

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Kitchen Supervisor to join our team. The Kitchen Supervisor will be responsible for overseeing the daily operations of the kitchen, ensuring that food preparation, cooking, and presentation are carried out to the highest standards. The ideal candidate will have a passion for food, strong leadership skills, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.

 

Responsibilities

  • Supervise kitchen staff, including chefs, cooks, and kitchen assistants, ensuring that they adhere to company policies and procedures.
  • Plan and coordinate daily food preparation activities, taking into account menu requirements, inventory levels, and customer demand.
  • Monitor food quality and presentation, ensuring that dishes meet established standards for taste, appearance, and portion size.
  • Train new kitchen staff on proper cooking techniques, sanitation practices, and safety procedures.
  • Maintain inventory levels of kitchen supplies and ingredients, placing orders as needed and ensuring that stock levels are sufficient to meet demand.
  • Enforce health and safety regulations in the kitchen, including proper food handling, storage, and sanitation procedures.
  • Collaborate with the management team to develop new menu items, specials, and promotions.
  • Handle any customer complaints or concerns related to food quality or service promptly and professionally.
  • Perform administrative tasks such as scheduling, payroll, and record-keeping as required.

Qualifications

  • Proven experience working in a commercial kitchen environment
  • Extensive knowledge of food preparation techniques, culinary trends, and kitchen equipment.
  • Strong leadership and communication skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire a team.
  • Excellent organizational and time management abilities, with the capacity to prioritize tasks effectively.
  • A commitment to upholding high standards of food quality, safety, and sanitation.
  • Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.
