Medical Assistant Paris Peds

The MedicalAssistant working under the supervision of the Physician, is able to provide health care assistance to individual patients and families as instructed by the Physician; draws blood and prepares specimens in treatment room; performs routine clinical procedures as directed by the Physician; participates in providing patient

education; enters appropriate documentation into patients' medical records; coordinates precertification for hospital stay and procedures; communicates with referring Physicians; assists with pharmacy

requests; answers patient questions; performs other duties as needed

1. Education: High School Diploma and graduate of an approved technical program.
2. Job Knowledge: Knowledge to perform routine clinical procedures and provide quality healthcare assistance for patients as instructed by the physician

3. Requirements for Performance: Functions in an accurate and efficient manner in dealing with patients, families, co-workers and physicians. Demonstrates the ability to perform technical skills as instructed by the physician.

4. Experience: 2+ years clinical experience necessary
5. Physical Demands; Mentally and physically healthy; Verbal and written communication

skills are required
