High School diploma or equivalent. Experience in similar field and background in medical terminology and/or insurance billing preferred. Must be able to work independently and capable of achieving the maximum work with a minimum of supervision. Ability to read and communicate effectively in English and Spanish. Strong written and verbal skills. Basic computer knowledge. Good organizational skills.
Good typing and secretarial skills and aptitude for computer data entry. Ability to meet the public as a positive, friendly and professional representative of KCCMH. Good telephone skills.
