Role: The Consumer Loan Servicing Specialist provides financial services of superior quality and convenience through auditing consumer loans to ensure integrity of loan documentation, regulatory compliance, and adherence to company policy. This position remains current with all regulatory and company lending guidelines and oversees all administrative functions involving servicing of consumer loans.

 

Pay: The pay for this position is $21.75 an hour.

 

Essential Functions & Responsibilities:

  • Handles all consumer loan servicing functions including but not limited to: processing interactions and opportunities, e-Oscar disputes and updates, wrecked vehicle insurance claims, all collateral protection claims as well as process dealer chargeback claims for the indirect team.
  • Performs internal auditing of consumer loan documentation after closing. Assist with the review and management of correspondence to obtain missing documentation or other findings within the audit.
  • Receives, organizes, prioritizes documentation from the Consumer Lending team and other departments regarding Consumer Loans. Performs scanning and indexing functions including document preparation and reassembly.
  • Assists with staff training on scanning, access and retrieval of electronic documents.
  • Handles all tasks involving collateral protection insurance including adding premium, refunding premium, processing insurance documents and incoming/outgoing calls to agents and members.
  • Processes requests for releases of collateral or loan modifications and ensures needed documentation is obtained..
  • Maintains a thorough knowledge of Consumer Lending policies and procedures, keeps up to date on regulation changes.
  • Support vehicle titling processes including lien perfection and releases.
  • Maintains knowledge of all Credit Union products, services, and promotions.
  • Contributes to efficient Credit Union operations by performing other job related duties as assigned.

Qualifications

Knowledge and Skills:

Experience: Two to three years of direct consumer lending or related banking experience Examples are quality assurance/auditing tasks, quoting interest rates, originating/processing/funding consumer loan applications. 

Education: A high school education or GED.

Work Environment:

The work environment characteristics described here are representative of those an employee encounters while performing the essential functions of this job. The worker is subject to inside environmental conditions: protection from weather conditions but not necessarily from temperature changes and/or seasonal brightness through windows. This position may involve periodic stressful conditions. The Credit Unions business days are Monday through Saturday between the hours of 8:00 a.m. to 6:30 p.m.; however, this position may occasionally require an adjusted work schedule, overtime, and to include evening/weekend hours. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.
