PROJECT MANAGER - CIVIL

Seeking Civil Project Manager in the Houston area. Must have experienced Civil Project Manager with flood control and public works background capable of servicing City/County clients. 

•    Absorb client calls to handle the awarded project through completion and close out of the project.
•    Review contracts for new jobs and clear them for execution.
•    Scheduling, budgeting, and compiling daily job reports.
•    Speaking with engineer and inspection
•    Coordinating with General Superintendent onsite and make changes as needed.
•    Processing RFIs.
•    Creating and approving pay applications.
•    Handle all submittals.
 

•    Bachelor’s degree (B.A.) from a four-year university or college
•    Minimum of 5 year of experience in the construction industry
•    Thorough knowledge of project documentation
•    Intermediate Microsoft Excel, Access, and Outlook skills
•    Ability to qualify clients and what their jobsite needs
•    The ability to work independently as well as in dynamic team environment
•    Strong written and verbal communication skills
•    Detailed follow-through, can prioritize and coordinate workload, and be flexible and effective in a fast-paced environment

Working Conditions & Physical Requirements

•    Substantial movements (motion) of the wrist, hands, and/or fingers in a repetitive manner. 
•    Sedentary physical activity performing non-strenuous daily activities of an administrative nature. 
•    Exerting up to 25 pounds of force occasionally to life, carry, pull, or otherwise move objects.
•    Manual dexterity sufficient to reach/handle items, works with the fingers, and perceives attributes of objects and materials. 
•    Well-lighted, heated and/or air-conditioned indoor office setting with adequate ventilation.
•    Moderate noise (examples: business office with computers and printers, light traffic.
•    40+ hours/week required according to the needs of the department. Must be available by phone and computer after hours per customer needs.
•    Ability to visit jobsites in all weather conditions.
