Summary of Functions

As a Service Manager, you’ll oversee the heart of our operations by leading and scheduling technicians, managing work orders, overseeing budgets, building strong customer relationships, coordinating warranties, and managing the service aspects of company fleet.

Essential Functions

  • Collaborate with equipment vendors to understand maintenance requirements and capabilities of new inventory additions.
  • Provide hands-on training and support to staff mechanics to ensure top performance.
  • Order and manage parts inventory to maintain adequate supplies and facilitate smooth operations.
  • Evaluate equipment post-repair, maintenance, or safety checks to ensure quality and readiness.
  • Conduct thorough quality control checks to uphold our high standards.
  • Document equipment status before and after rentals for accurate tracking.
  • Address customer complaints regarding equipment condition or operation with professionalism and efficiency.
  • Create, update, close, and bill work orders with precision.
  • File warranty claims promptly to maximize efficiency.
  • Maintain and organize detailed equipment service records for compliance and reporting.
  • Manage the disposal of solid and hazardous material waste (e.g., batteries, used oil & filters, antifreeze, wash sludge) in accordance with regulations.
  • Generate detailed equipment reports, including equipment due for service, fleet status, and service record reporting.
  • Perform extensive data entry and report generation to support operational needs.
  • Promote a culture of safety awareness among the team.
  • Additional duties and tasks as assigned.

Qualifications

Qualifications

  • Strong understanding of equipment capabilities and safety requirements.
  • Industry Experience: 3-5 years of extensive background in the repair and maintenance of self-propelled platforms and lifts.
  • Clear perspective on maintenance and repair challenges in the equipment rental industry.
  • Proven knowledge of work planning, scheduling, and other supervisory activities.
  • Experience in inventory management, operational planning, and team management.
  • Strong reporting skills to track and communicate operational metrics.
  • Computer literacy, with Microsoft 365 experience as a plus.
  • Valid driver’s license required.
