Sistema Utah PT Flute Teaching Artist Job Description

We are looking for a dynamic individual with a passion to teach FLUTE for our after-school music program in Draper. Sistema Utah is partnered with American Preparatory Academy to offer music classes after school at Title I schools. Patterned after the El Sistema movement that originated in Venezuela, it is our hope to empower our students for social change. Sistema Utah is a 19-TIME Utah Best of State winner for Community Music Program, Arts in Education, Performing Arts-Musical Instruments, Children's Orchestra, and Youth Small Ensemble.

Teacher positions will be filled by candidates with a high level of experience and expertise in their specific instrument area. These teachers will be trained and coached by the program directors and administrators. We offer paid training and extensive professional development and networking opportunities.

Hours: Monday, Tuesday, and Friday 3:15-5:30 pm; Wednesday and Thursday 2:15-5:30 pm.

College music degree and Suzuki Method teacher training is a plus.
