Job Overview:
We are seeking skilled Pesticide/Herbicide Technician's to join our team. The ideal candidate will have experience in several areas of pesticide operations to include herbicide application, proper mixing of herbicides, accountability and great communication. Required training will be provided for this position. Opportunities to advance your career with advanced licensing and experience in the company is expected with this position.
Key Responsibilities:
- Applying herbicide as prescribed for the jobsite.
- Equipment maintenance and repair
- Equipment transportation from job site to job site
- Â Follow Safety Protocol
- Proper Herbicide Mixing
- Loading, Storing, and Transportation of Herbicides
- Accurately identify plant species
- Continuing Education in Weed ScienceÂ
Physical Requirements:
- The position requires walking across very uneven and hazardous ground, often in challenging environmental conditions, while spraying with a backpack sprayer.
- Ability to climb on and off equipment/vehicles in a safe, sound, and efficient manner is essential to perform the required duties.
- Must be able to lift heavy objects up to 55 + lbs, and perform physical activities as needed.
