Summary
Cycle Instructors are responsible for leading and delivering cycling classes. Delivering includes instruction that develops and organizes movement sequencing and progression or regression, cueing participants set up, safety, execution, and more. The instructor must be high energy, motivating, and a relationship builder who will help others reach their goals through exercise while having fun. Duties include but are not limited to the following responsibilities: Leads energizing, fun, safe and educational group classes. Creates a welcoming class environment for all fitness levels and encourages and motivates class members to do their best. Answers questions from participants to support them in achieving their wellness goals. Builds rapport with members, helps participants connect with one another and create community. Keeps accurate class attendance records. Maintain the Cycling and Group Exercise equipment, stereo, and area where class is held, and reports any issues with equipment, and all previously mentioned items, to direct supervisor as soon as possible. Attends required trainings, staff meeting, reads staff emails sent by the organization or manager. As part of a team of instructors, helps cover classes that need a substitute instructor, and from time to time asked to participate in a special event or holiday class. Instructors will also be required to complete paperwork, such as payroll, on a timely basis.

- Arrive 5 minutes before the class starts to set up and answer any questions members may have.
- Start and end class on time. Stay after class to answer questions outside studio if needed, but not expected to stay more than 10 minutes.
- Instruct students in an impartial fashion, not giving more attention to the front row vs. the back row.
- Make sure all the equipment and / or props are put away neatly in the correct place before leaving the studio.
- Contact the group exercise manager if there are any issues regarding the equipment, including the stereo, lights, fans, floor and props.
- Follow safety policies and be able to perform needed assistance in a medical or environmental emergency such as fires or earthquakes
