Housing | Supervisor, Rapid Rehousing

The Supervisor, Rapid Rehousing oversees the Rapid Rehousing (RRH) program, which provides long-term housing and supportive services for individuals and families experiencing homelessness in Harris County and the surrounding area. The RRH Program uses a case management model that combines trauma informed care and motivational interviewing. This program follows the Housing First model. The Supervisor leads the day-to-day operations of the RRH Program and is responsible for staff supervision, client support, and quality standards. 

What you Deliver

• Lead, motivate, and supervise a team of Rapid rehousing case navigators. Provide guidance, support, and training to team members to ensure the efficient operation of the program. Conduct weekly case consultation sessions with staff. Ensures proper security and confidentiality of client records and information in compliance with agency policy.

• Oversee the intake and assessment of clients to determine eligibility for the program. Assigning eligibility clients to Case Navigators.

• Collaborate with case navigators to ensure that clients receive comprehensive support services tailored to their needs. Mediates high intensity situations and addresses client complaints or concerns. Co-facilitates training, and family and individual coaching with clients and their families. Monitor client progress and outcomes, making necessary adjustments to support plans as required.

• Assist Case Navigators in coordinating with the housing search and placement process for clients based on 
  individual needs. Communicate and negotiate with landlords and/or property management companies to secure a stable permanent housing option for the clients. Assist clients with the application process, reviewing lease packet submissions for accuracy and completion. Assist with inspection PRN (as needed) and/or move-in inspections.

• Provides continuous quality review of digital (HMIS & ETO) and physical client records for compliance with agency, CoC, federal program standards and best practices. Prepares accurate and timely program reports with data on services provided, quality measures, and outcomes.

• Respond to crises or emergencies involving program participants and take appropriate actions to ensure their safety and well-being.

• Collaborate with community organizations, local agencies, and government entities to enhance program resources and advocate for housing solutions.

• Performs other duties as assigned.

The Expertise We're Looking For

• Bachelor's degree in social work or related field

• Two (2) years of experience in case management within the homelessness services, housing programs, or social services.

• One (1) year of experience in a supervisory role leading a case management or social services team.

• NSPIRE training (provided by agency- must pass within first 90 days of employment)

• Valid Texas Driver’s License
