Job Requirements:

Physical Requirements:Â
This position normally requires the physical demands of standing, walking, bending, lifting or performing other work requiring moderate physical exertion, talking, and hearing on a regular basis to perform the job requirement. These physical demands are required up to 90% of the time.
Must be able to climb stairs and ladders and reach heights of 8 feet with the aid of a ladder. No fear of heights (24 feet or more).
The employee must regularly lift and/or move up to 50 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and the ability to adjust focus.
Non-Physical Requirements:
Education
- High School Diploma or General Equivalency Diploma (GED), preferred
Experience
- Prior maintenance experience or experience in a related field
Special Skills
- Must have a working knowledge of building maintenance.
- Basic technical knowledge of mechanical, electrical, plumbing, and general carpentry.
- Must adhere to pertinent laws and EPA and OSHA regulations governing the handling, storage, and disposal of hazardous materials.
- The ability to utilize a tablet and/or computer to complete work orders in the property management software.
- Must be self-motivated, able to work independently and be able to perform duties with minimal supervision.
- Must be able to work well with people from diverse social and economic backgrounds.
- Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions and short correspondence.Â
- Basic math (addition, subtraction, multiplication, division) knowledge
- Ability to receive and follow written instructions.
- Bilingual and biliterate (English/Spanish) preferred, but not required
Licensure, Registration, Certification
- Valid Washington State driver’s license and minimum required liability insurance for WA State
- Must be deemed insurable as determined by Catholic Charities liability insurance provider
- Must show proof of Hep B Vaccination record
Employment is conditional upon:
- Being cleared by criminal background check and fingerprinting when required
Wage Range: $20 - $24, depending on experience and education
Work Schedule: Monday - Friday, 8am to 5pm
Work Locations: covers 62 units across two housing complexes at New Life Villa in Mabton and Juan Pablo II in Grandview
