Employment Qualifications
Education: High school graduation
Experience:
- Entry-level position.
- Prefer experience working with adults with mental health disabilities (developmental disabilities and/or serious mental illnesses)
Other Requirements:
- A current or previous primary person served of publicly funded mental health services.
- Ability to work with persons served and providers of mental health services.
- Ability to write and speak effectively.
- Possession of a valid Michigan driver's license or ability to travel to and access assigned service sites.
- Possession of certification from the Michigan Department Health & Human Services (MDHHS) as a “Certified Peer Support Specialist”.

- Ability to utilize office equipment and complete paperwork requirements as assigned.
- Ability to communicate effectively with persons served and providers of mental health services.
- Ability to drive a vehicle or travel to and from assigned service sites.
Working Conditions:
- Works in office settings and in community-based service sites throughout the county.
- Required to travel within the county.
- Delivers care to persons served with a range of physical and mental healthrelated disabilities.
Exposure to communicable diseases, blood, and other potentially infectious bodily fluids and materials.
