Summary and Qualifications

Summary of Position 

The Summit Collaborative Assessments Director serves as a meaningful member of the Collaborative Team to support our 90+ church plants to thrive and multiply. Their main area of work will be leading out in the oversight and expansion of the Collaborative Assessment System and thinking for the leadership pipeline generally.

 

Qualifications and Requirements

  • Ability to oversee a large system for managing assessments and developing leaders. 
  • Able to think strategically for bringing our leadership development vision to fruition
  • Potential for being an effective assessor with a strong track record for developing leaders.
  • Able to clearly communicate with executive level leaders and coordinate assessment events. 
  • Able to hold sensitive information about the development of ministry staff in confidence. 
  • Able to travel to church plants for assessment days.
  • Member or willing and able to become a member of the Summit Church.

Responsibilities

Responsibilities

  • This role has three main areas of oversight:
    • Work with Leadership Development Director to build the Collab’s leadership pipeline
      • Develop a deep knowledge of the pipeline and next steps for key leaders
      • Assist in the planning and development of pipeline training opportunities
      • Assist in the identification and assessment of potential church planters
    • Oversee and expand the assessment system
      • Work with Collab churches to identity leaders and grow the assessment pool
      • Plan and lead Assessment Days
      • Manage the online assessment system
    • Oversee and expand the Assessor Pool
      • Grow the pool of assessors and assessment leads through recruiting and training
      • Strategically deploy assessors where they will make the biggest impact

Churchwide Events

The hours for this position are expected to be 40 hours per week. As one church that meets in many locations, there are several times throughout the year that Summit holds church-wide events in an effort to do whatever it takes to reach all people. All staff members are expected to serve at these church-wide events regardless of the positions they hold. 

Such events include, but are not limited to: Easter services, church-wide prayer meetings, Good Friday service, and Christmas services. Serving expectations will be communicated in advance of each event.
