Summary and Qualifications

Summary of Position

The Campus Administrative Assistant is responsible for fulfilling the vision of Summit Church through administrative, operational, and logistical support of the Summit en Español Campus and their Extended City Gathering at Alamance.

  • Heart for reaching Latinos (in RDU around the world)
  • Administrative gifting; strong organizational skills, detail-oriented, and efficient
  • Ability to communicate clearly and professionally
  • Excellent written and verbal skills
  • Gifted in data entry and tracking
  • Anticipates needs and manages time well; ability to multi-task numerous projects 
  • Discretion in handling personal and/or confidential information
  • Preferred proficiency in Google Suite and quick learner of other digital systems
  • A member of the Summit Church or willing and able to become a member
  • Personal integrity and evidence of ongoing spiritual growth, as required of all church employees (church attendance, small group membership, tithing, etc).
  • Even though it’s a hybrid position, the candidate will need to work with the Supervisor and be flexible on days where it is needed to come into the office physically to work. The position is 8:30-5 Mondays through Thursdays and 8:30 till noon on Fridays. Right now the position requires the candidate to come into the Brier Creek Office the full day on Mondays and Wednesdays, and Thursdays till noon. The rest of the time can be worked remotely for now.

Support for Summit en Español at Blue Ridge:

  • Offer support to the Campus Pastor, including calendar management, financial reconciliations, and email management.
  • Coordinate campus communication management via the Rock (Summit website and database), email, phone, and mail.
  • Campus calendar management, including submitting room reservations.
  • Submit reimbursements for volunteers, benevolence payments and honorariums for guest speakers.
  • Arrange travel and accommodations for guest speakers, as needed.
  • Support campus pastor in developing and managing campus budget, and lead campus team in regular campus budget review.
  • Create meeting agendas and participate in weekly Summit en Español staff meetings, facilitating the meeting alongside the campus pastor and offering input and ideas that help any and all aspects of the ministry. 
  • Regular data input, such as entering First Time Guests and baptisms.
  • Print materials and order supplies for weekend services and campus events, as needed.
  • Request background checks and the creation of lanyards on behalf of ministries.
  • Monitor/Assign campus mailbox pickup and dropoff.
  • Serve as a liaison between the campus team and ministry support or central staff (central admins, HR, Finance, Digital Strategy, etc.).
  • Serve as a point person for translated materials.

Support for Summit en Español Extended City Gathering:

  • Financial reconciliation as needed
  • Church calendar submissions
  • Act as a liaison between Summit en Español team and Extended City Gathering, as well as between central and ministry support
  • Additional support as the gathering grows

 

The hours for this position are expected to be 40 hours per week. As one church that meets in many locations, there are several times throughout the year that Summit holds church-wide events in an effort to do whatever it takes to reach all people. All staff members are expected to serve at these church-wide events regardless of the positions they hold. Such events include, but are not limited to: Easter services, church-wide prayer meetings, Good Friday service, and Christmas services. Serving expectations will be communicated in advance of each event and, when possible, staff are given the opportunity to select the area in which they would like to serve
