Horizons at Brunswick
Horizons at Brunswick is an enrichment program aimed at fostering a love of learning and supporting personal growth in under-resourced boys from Greenwich public schools, from kindergarten through eighth grade. The program runs for six weeks in the summer and continues with six additional Saturdays throughout the school year. The curriculum encompasses a broad range of subjects, including math, language arts, STEAM, swimming, chess, arts, sports, and includes field trips for a comprehensive learning experience.
Summer Associate Teacher - Horizons at Brunswick School is seeking talented and enthusiastic assistant teachers to work with kindergarten through fourth-grade students in a unique academic enrichment summer program. We welcome professional and caring individuals to support lead teachers in implementing strategies for learning and social-emotional growth.
Program Dates: June 26 through August 7, 2026 (6 weeks)
Responsibilities:
- Promote hands-on learning and encourage student engagement
- Work alongside the lead teacher to plan and facilitate daily lessons
- Help coordinate classroom flow and ensure a focused learning environment
- Guide students through assignments and help them overcome challenges
- Assist in the program's academic and non-academic activities, including field trips, parent communication, and comment writing
