We are seeking a Seasonal Teacher of the Visually Impaired (TVI) to join our summer program team. This role is ideal for professionals with experience in visual impairment education who are passionate about working with children and are available for summer work. You’ll play a vital role in delivering individualized instruction and supporting engaging activities that promote independence, confidence, and skill development in students with vision loss.
Essential Job Requirements:
- Conduct intake and informal assessments for summer participants (as needed).
- Develop and implement individualized learning goals for summer programming.
- Provide direct instruction in center-based and community settings.
- Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to deliver fun, educational, and developmentally appropriate programming.
- Participate in scheduled summer events, including most weekdays and occasional weekends/evenings.
- Document student progress, maintain records, and complete required reporting.
