What You’ll Need
- 8 -10 years experience leading agile development teams that use a disciplined discovery process in a product role where you had accountability for driving specific quantifiable business outcomes that affected revenue, EBITDA, churn, etc. across multiple interconnected products while also improving key measures of success from a customer point of view. This is a critical skill that we need on our teams so please be prepared to share specific examples.
- 3+ years relevant experience taking B2B SaaS products to market and driving growth
- Demonstrated leadership of major product releases in a B2B SaaS context where you had decision rights and worked with marketing, sales, customer success and customer support to create integrated go-to-market plans.
- Examples where you identified key customer purchase, adoption and churn triggers and translated those into coordinated efforts across product design, marketing and success/support to drive quantifiable improvements to generate organic revenue growth.
- This is not an entry level product role, and we’ll want you to show us how you’ve matured your approach to product by sharing your stories (and perhaps scars!) with particular emphasis on the following:
- You can readily share examples of lessons learned as you sought to create a high performing product/development culture with a strong orientation toward customer success.
- You have influenced both teams and individuals who come from a “founder” point of view and have earned their confidence.
- You have been on the front lines with customers including large enterprises and have built their trust and confidence.
- You are able to operate and configure product planning and development planning tools such as Aha! and Jira to help our teams work effectively.
- You have a track record for using data to inform your decisions, being decisive and moving quickly even in the face of incomplete information. You can adapt and evolve your thinking when new information comes to light while still maintaining momentum across the team.
- You can share examples of where you’ve used data to frame highly consequential decisions.
- Because we’re also scrappy be prepared to share how you have personally gathered, organized and transformed data to support results analysis, strategy and planning efforts.
- Vehlo has a mostly remote workforce and successful Veeps have a self-starting, results-driven and people-first mindset. We’ll want candidates to share prior examples of assimilating into and leading geographically distant, multi-disciplinary teams across multiple time zones.
- We also believe in interpersonal connection. Candidates must be willing to travel to meet customers, attend industry conferences and internal meetings, with travel not to exceed 10% on average across any given year.
