Director, HR - Employee Experience

Position Title: Director, HR - Employee Experience
Location: Colorado Springs, CO 
Employment Type: Full-Time
Schedule: 40 hours per week (hybrid, 4 days in-office)

SUMMARY: Director of Employee Experience is responsible for creating and implementing strategies to improve the overall employee experience within an organization, encompassing all stages of the employee lifecycle from recruitment to offboarding. This role focuses on enhancing employee engagement, satisfaction, and retention, fostering a positive work culture, and ensuring alignment with the organization's strategic goals. 

Job Summary:

The Human Resources Director of Employee Experience is responsible for creating and implementing strategies to improve the overall employee experience within an organization, encompassing all stages of the employee lifecycle from recruitment to offboarding. This role focuses on enhancing employee engagement, satisfaction, and retention, fostering a positive work culture, and ensuring alignment with the organization's strategic goals.

 

Essential Functions:

Strategic Staff Development:

· Develop and implement a comprehensive employee experience strategy that aligns with the organization's values, culture, and objectives. Value’s week implementation

Engagement and Retention:

· Drive initiatives to boost employee engagement, satisfaction, and retention through various programs and initiatives.

Culture Building:

· Foster a positive and inclusive company culture that values employee well-being and promotes a positive work environment. This position is responsible for the collection of employee surveys in which to gather the data for the internal net promoter score.

Employee Journey Management:

· Oversee and improve all aspects of the employee journey, including Succession planning, Gap analysis, Training, development, Performance management, and Offboarding.

Feedback and Analytics:

· Gather employee feedback through surveys, exit interviews, and other mechanisms to identify areas for improvement and track the effectiveness of HR programs. This position involves the understanding of what's working and what's not within the people function of the organization. This means gathering employee feedback through surveys, focus groups, and other means, and then analyzing the data to identify trends and areas for improvement. You'll need to be comfortable working with data and have the ability to use it to drive decision-making.

Collaboration and Communication:

· Work collaboratively with HR leaders and cross-functional teams to implement HR initiatives and improve employee experience.

Compliance and Legal:

· Ensure compliance with relevant laws, regulations, and HR policies regarding employee experience.

Performance Management:

· Implement and oversight of the performance management system to support employee growth and success. This includes producing summary reports following each reporting quarter and training on the development of

metrics and targets for each employee and department to ensure that all metrics are in alignment with organizational goals.

Training and Development:

· This position involves the ability to design and deliver training programs to enhance employee skills, knowledge, and abilities. The candidate must understand how to use learning and development systems, preferably Relias. This position would be responsible for the maintenance of the Master Training calendar.

Well-being and Work-Life Balance:

· This position will work with the Health & Wellness Coordinator to implement initiatives to support employee health, well-being, and work-life balance.

Change Management:

· This position may be given the ability to lead change management efforts to ensure a smooth transition during organizational changes or restructuring. These changes will include the development of communication plans to ensure solid planning and design of the changes to be made.

Compliance and Legal:

· This position will work alongside the VP of HR to ensure compliance with relevant laws, regulations, and HR policies regarding employee experience. This position would assist with the review of HR policies and procedures.

· The environment at Diversus Health is fluid and roles and responsibilities may be altered to accommodate changing business conditions and objectives. Employees may be asked to perform duties that are outside of specific work that is listed within their job descriptions. This position may require you to work standard hours, as well as flexible hours both before and after standard hours, and may include work in excess of 40 hours in a work week as necessary to the position’s needs.

· Mobility Clause: Based on business need, this position may be needed to work and/or travel on a temporary basis at any premises which the agency currently has or may subsequently acquire or at any premises at which it may from time to time provide services. This position may require that the employee travel with or without notice as needed within the scope of the position responsibility.

 

Knowledge/Skills/Abilities:

· Master of Arts degree in Human Resources, Management, Organizational Behavior or other directly related field or a bachelor’s degree in one of these fields and 2 or more years of directly related experience.

· A Senior Professional in Human Resources certification (SPHR) or Professional in Human Resources (PHR) is strongly preferred.

· A SHRM-SCP – Society for Human Resource Development Senior Certified Professional or SHRM-CP (Certified Professional) is strongly preferred.

· Two to four years’ experience making professional presentations and training to include curriculum development (at least high school level) a must.

· Strong leadership, management, and interpersonal skills.

· Ability to develop and execute strategic plans.

· Excellent communication, interpersonal, and collaboration skills.

· Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.

· Experience in leading and managing change initiatives.

· Deep understanding of HR principles, practices, and regulations.

· Familiarity with industry trends and best practices in employee experience and engagement.

· Experience with HR technology systems and data analytics.

· Understanding of the importance of diversity, equity, and inclusion in the workplace.
