Position: Adjunct Coach
Classification: Exempt, Seasonal Stipend
Reports to: Athletic Coordinator, Athletic Director and Divisional Principal
Mission: To assist Christian parents by helping equip students to embrace biblical truth, strive for academic excellence, and model Christ-like leadership to influence their homes, churches, and communities for Christ.

Duties and Responsibilities:
- Total responsibility for the development and advancement of the PCA Girls Softball program on every level according to the principles and policies of the school.
- Responsible for the positive development of players in academics, athleticism, softball skills, and in their walk with Christ.
- Responsible for the stewardship of facilities and allocated budget.
- Expected to identify and recruit coaches into the softball program who love Christ and kids, and have a passion for softball.
- Mentor and train all softball coaches on a unified system that prepares players on all levels to fill their roles in the system to the best of their abilities.
- Expected to be actively involved in and integrated into the ministry opportunities of the school such as mission trips, service projects, and advisory groups
Qualifications/Skills:
- Ability to organize and supervise a sports program/team
- Preferred previous coaching experience in assigned sport
- Good role model
- Excellent verbal communications skills
- Demonstrated leadership and facilitative skills
- Prestonwood Baptist Church member preferred
Physical Requirements and Work Environment:
- Works in a highly stressful environment dealing with a wide variety of challenges, deadlines and a varied and diverse array of contacts
- Work in outside weather conditions, including extreme heat and cold
- Tasks involve the ability to exert heavy physical effort in heavy work, including climbing, balancing, stooping, kneeling, crouching and crawling, and lifting, carrying, pushing, and/or pulling of moderately heavy objects and materials weighing 20 to 50 pounds
