As our Accounting Specialist, you’ll be responsible for supporting both Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable processes, assisting with general accounting tasks, and ensuring compliance with internal controls. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys variety, takes initiative, and values precision in their work.

Key Responsibilities:

Accounts Payable

  • Process vendor invoices, match purchase orders, and ensure timely payments
  • Maintain accurate vendor records and ensure W-9 and 1099 compliance
  • Respond to vendor inquiries and resolve invoice discrepancies

Accounts Receivable

  • Record customer ACH, credit card, and check payments timely and accurately
  • Monitor AR Aging and perform collections outreach as needed
  • Work with internal teams to resolve billing issues and misapplied payments
  • Respond to customer inquiries and coordinate with the appropriate internal personnel to further assist when applicable

General Accounting Support

  • Assist with monthly close processes, including reconciliations of key accounts
  • Post journal entries to support accurate financial reporting
  • Assist with special projects and perform other duties as assigned

Compliance & Documentation

  • Ensure all AP/AR activities comply with internal controls and accounting policies
  • Maintain organized documentation to support audits and reporting

Qualifications

Preferred Education & Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting + 1 year of experience, or at least 3 years in an accounting role
  • Experience in AP, AR, journal entries, and reconciliations
  • Experience in a high-volume or multi-entity environment preferred
  • Solid understanding of accounting principles and relevant tax regulations
