We are looking for a motivated, organized and proactive Recruitment Associate to join our team. In this role, you will play a critical part in growing and supporting the Mundo Verde team by recruiting our next generation of teachers, staff, and leaders. Job Overview: The Recruitment Associate is a member of the HR/Talent team. This position’s primary functions are to collaborate on all aspects of the hiring and recruitment process, to directly support the school’s talent priority, and to support other aspects of the HR/Talent team’s work.  The associate supports the hiring goals by filling open positions with talented, diverse and qualified candidates and is responsible for the full life cycle of the recruiting process, including sourcing, recruiting, hiring, and onboarding new staff. 

 

Reports To: The recruitment associate will report to the Senior Talent Manager 

 

Responsibilities and Duties

 

Recruitment

Recruitment Systems

  • Support system development, reflection, and improvement
  • Help create recruitment materials including flyers, blasts, social media announcements, interview questions, rubrics, performance tasks
  • Utilize data to inform process improvements that increase hiring velocity, reduce application latency, and increase organizational and candidate satisfaction
  • Co-develop communication strategies
  • Participate in the new hire mentorship program
  • Train hiring managers and committees to reduce improper bias in selection



 

Sourcing

  • Execute hiring strategy utilizing multiple active and passive channels. Leaving no stone unturned, the position will map the talent landscape, engage active and passive leads through compelling and creative content, and steward candidates through the hiring process. Examples include but are not limited to: 
    • Periodically searching for feedback on Mundo Verde on social media
    • Proactively scanning for candidates on job boards 
    • Reviewing resumes from job fair banks and flagging ones for follow up
    • Reaching out to all previous candidates to share upcoming openings and opportunities
    • Creating strategies and identifying college and university partnerships for proactive recruitment, including developing a social media strategy and timeline
    • Overseing candidate information sessions, attending job fairs, hosting candidate gatherings
  • Advises on the talent landscape and in partnership with other stakeholders proactively assists on identifying current and potential talent gaps, norming on the minimum and preferred qualifications, and ensuring ongoing communications on pipeline health

Selection and Cultivation

  • Serve as the public face to potential talent, being the first point of contact in the recruiting process and providing high touch experiences to candidates through every step.
  • Enthusiastically represent Mundo Verde and advocates for their candidates to provide exceptional, people first focus from initial outreach to closing
  • Screen candidates using selection criteria and appropriate methods (e.g. applications, one-way videos, virtual interviews, etc.)
  • Recommend candidates for advancement
  • Liaise with non-HR staff who support the recruitment process and hold them accountable to reviewing assigned elements of the process
  • Support with scheduling and observing demo lessons
  • Ensure candidate data is accurate and relevant candidate data dashboards are created

Overall Talent and HR Team Support

  • Maintain recruitment database and ensure timely and consistent transfer of information to Senior Talent Manager
  • Support other HR and Talent functions as needed
  • Perform other tasks as assigned by the Senior Talent Manager 

 

 

 Other Job Details

  • Schedule: 8 hour day, Monday thru Friday.  
  • Location: Network position meaning will serve at both campuses. 
  • This position does not have any direct reports 
  • Position Type: This is a 12-month salaried position which is exempt and therefore not eligible for overtime pay under the provisions of the Fair Labor Standards Act
  • Employment subject to TB test, fingerprinting and background check

Qualifications

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in business, human resources, or related field
  • 1-2 years of professional experience in recruitment or HR
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Must be bilingual (English and Spanish). 
  • Experience in an urban school setting is preferred.
