The EDM Machine Operator is responsible for the efficient and accurate operation of Electrical Discharge Machines to produce high-precision parts and components as per engineering specifications. This role involves setting up, programming, and maintaining the EDM equipment while ensuring the highest quality and adherence to safety standards.

Key Responsibilities:
- Machine Setup:
- Prepare EDM machines by installing and securing tooling, fixtures, and work pieces.
- Select and install appropriate electrodes based on job requirements.
- Program machine settings, including voltage, current, and pulse duration.
- Operation:
- Operate EDM machines to remove material from work pieces using electrical discharges.
- Monitor and adjust machine parameters as needed to maintain quality and efficiency.
- Ensure proper coolant and dielectric fluid levels and quality.
- Quality Control:
- Inspect work pieces at regular intervals to ensure they meet specified tolerances and quality standards.
- Make necessary adjustments and measurements to maintain precision and accuracy.
- Maintenance:
- Perform routine maintenance on EDM machines, including cleaning, lubrication, and electrode replacement.
- Identify and report any machine issues or malfunctions to the maintenance team.
- Safety and Compliance:
- Follow safety protocols and procedures to prevent accidents and ensure a safe working environment.
- Adhere to all applicable regulations and guidelines related to EDM machining.
- Documentation:
- Maintain accurate records of machine settings, work piece specifications, and job progress.
- Document any deviations, issues, or adjustments made during the process.
