The Tooling Technician is responsible for designing, building, maintaining, and repairing tooling, jigs, and fixtures used in aerospace manufacturing processes. This role ensures that production teams have the proper tooling to meet quality, efficiency, and safety requirements.

Fabricate, assemble, and maintain tooling, jigs, and fixtures for production operations.

Work from blueprints, CAD models, engineering drawings, and written/verbal instructions.

Modify and repair existing tooling to improve efficiency or extend service life.

Ensure tooling conforms to engineering specifications and aerospace quality standards.

Collaborate with production, quality, and engineering teams to resolve tooling-related issues.

Perform preventative maintenance on tooling and maintain accurate documentation.

Support new product introduction (NPI) by building prototype tooling as required.

Operate machining and hand tools (mills, lathes, grinders, drills, welding, etc.) for tooling fabrication.

Maintain safe work practices and comply with company safety standards.

Track tooling inventory and manage tooling life cycles.
