Impact Data Reporting Consultant

1. Background

Good360 is committed to delivering measurable social and environmental impact through its distribution of goods to communities in need. To strengthen ESG (Environmental, Social, Governance) reporting, demonstrate value to stakeholders, and align with best practices in social impact measurement, Good360 requires expert consultancy support in building robust systems for impact data reporting. This includes capturing and analyzing data on lives impacted, length of haul, SROI (Social Return on Investment), and ESG metrics.

2. Objectives

• Design and implement a framework for impact data collection, analysis, and reporting.
• Integrate ESG reporting standards with Good360’s existing operational and donor reporting requirements.
• Quantify and communicate lives impacted and other key social impact indicators.
• Develop methodologies for calculating SROI and other economic impact measures.
• Support data visualization and reporting to internal stakeholders, donors, and partners.

3. Scope of Work

• Task 1: Impact Data Framework Development

• Review current data collection and reporting systems at Good360.
• Align reporting with recognized ESG and impact reporting standards (e.g., GRI, SASB, IRIS+, UN SDGs).
• Establish metrics and KPIs for lives impacted, length of haul, and resource efficiency.

• Task 2: Data Management & Analytics

• Design data pipelines for efficient collection, cleaning, and validation.
• Apply data science techniques to analyze both quantitative and qualitative impact data.
• Develop predictive and trend models for impact growth.

• Task 3: SROI & Advanced Impact Measurement

• Establish methodology for calculating Social Return on Investment (SROI).
• Deliver cost-benefit and value-for-money analyses.
• Create tools/templates for ongoing SROI calculations.

• Task 4: Reporting & Visualization

• Produce standardized impact dashboards for internal and external reporting.
• Develop donor-ready reports with clear narratives and data visualizations.
• Train internal staff on use of reporting tools and frameworks.

• Task 5: Capacity Building & Handover

• Conduct training sessions with Good360’s team on data science and ESG reporting best practices.
• Provide documentation for methodologies, systems, and dashboards developed.
• Deliver a sustainability plan for continued impact reporting post-engagement.

5. Required Skill Set & Experience

• Data Science & Analytics

• Strong skills in statistical modeling, data visualization, and predictive analytics.
• Proficiency in Python, R, SQL, or equivalent tools.

• ESG Reporting

• Knowledge of ESG disclosure standards (GRI, SASB, TCFD, UN SDGs).
• Experience aligning organizational data with ESG frameworks.

• Social Impact Measurement

• Demonstrated experience in calculating SROI and impact valuation.
• Familiarity with impact measurement frameworks (IRIS+, Theory of Change).

• Operational & Logistical Metrics

• Understanding of supply chain and logistics metrics, including length of haul.
• Experience quantifying efficiency and cost-benefit impact.

• Communication & Reporting

• Ability to distill complex data into clear donor- and stakeholder-facing reports.
• Strong storytelling with data visualization (Tableau, Power BI, or similar).

• Capacity Building

• Experience training non-technical staff in data literacy and impact reporting.

6. Timeline & Engagement

• Duration: 6 months (with phased deliverables as listed above).
• Estimated Level of Effort: 3–4 days/week (flexible based on scope and consultant availability).
• Reporting: Consultant will report directly to Good360’s Impact & ESG team lead, with biweekly progress reviews.

7. Evaluation Criteria

• Demonstrated experience in data science, ESG reporting, and social impact measurement.
• Proven track record in SROI analysis and impact reporting.
• Clarity of proposed methodology and tools.
• Cost-effectiveness and alignment with Good360’s mission.
