Position Summary

Good360 is seeking a strategic and experienced Director of Impact Giving to lead and expand our efforts across the United States in serving the needs of economically vulnerable populations, as well as communities during times of disaster. This new position reflects the continued growth of our Impact Giving team and will play a critical role in broadening our reach and deepening our impact. Reporting directly to the Senior Vice President of Impact Giving, this role involves partnering to advance efforts to secure funding, building and maintaining partnerships, and advocating for the organization’s mission and programs. The Director of Impact Giving will focus on Good360’s five Impact Areas: Health & Hygiene, Play & Recreation, Home & Essential Goods, Education & STEM, and Disaster Response & Recovery. The ideal candidate will possess a deep understanding of fundraising, donor relations, government advocacy, and working with vulnerable populations.

Key Responsibilities include, but are not limited to the following

Resource Development and Fundraising:

  • Collaborate with the Senior Vice President for Impact Giving to build a resource development portfolio of financial support from private and corporate foundations, non-product companies, high net worth individuals, and governments.
  • Develop and execute on strategic plans for the acquisition and retention of donor partners, including the expansion of key relationships to include financial donations, cause marketing partnerships, cash grant support, and similar initiatives.
  • Present Good360’s full portfolio of service offerings to existing and prospective partners to secure financial support.
  • Implement prospect and donor engagement strategies, including identification, cultivation, solicitation, and stewardship. Build and manage a donor/prospect portfolio.
  • Manage systems and processes for corporate and foundation gifts/grant seeking planning and decision-making.
  • Seek and build connections within various functions in partner organizations, including CSR/ESG, marketing, community relations, and government relations.

Partnership Building:

  • Cultivate and maintain relationships with foundations, corporate partners, individual donors and government leaders to advance Good360’s mission.
  • Partner with Good360’s SVP of Impact Giving to identify opportunities for funding and other forms of support from corporate foundations.
  • Translate Good360’s mission and value proposition into strategies that align with donor companies’ own business and philanthropic strategies. Effectively communicate and demonstrate Good360’s ability to develop business solutions for companies that also drive progress towards corporate sustainability and social impact goals.
  • Engage with internal colleagues (e.g., Corporate Development, Community Engagement) to identify program opportunities and offerings to elevate in discussions with donors. Contribute to program strategy development and opportunity identification.
  • Implement effective networking strategies to position Good360 as a trusted voice and strong steward of resources relevant to donors and prospects.

Marketing and Communications:

  • Collaborate with the marketing and communications team to develop and implement effective strategies that highlight Good360’s impact in Hygiene Poverty, Safe Homes, Educational Opportunity, Play Equity, and Disaster Response and Recovery, engaging donors, stakeholders, media, celebrities/influencers, and others.

Reporting:

  • Track progress against key Good360 Impact Giving KPIs, including measures that reflect the amount and quality of financial donations, number of new donations, and breadth of corporate partnerships.
  • Collaborate with internal Good360 teams to ensure the smooth and efficient movement of donated funds to recipient nonprofits and program areas.

Qualifications

Qualifications/Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Nonprofit Management, Social Work, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 7 years of experience in corporate philanthropy, nonprofit management, or a related field.
  • Proven track record of successful program development and execution, including leading account development activities for corporations, foundations and individuals.
  • Strong relationship-building and stakeholder management skills, and knowledge of how to connect with corporate and foundation decision-makers  a must.
  • Excellent verbal, written, and presentation skills, with the ability to clearly communicate organizational value.
  • Ability to lead multiple complex initiatives and drive results with minimal supervision.
  • Passion for social responsibility, sustainability, and advancing Good360’s mission with the ability to convey that passion persuasively.
  • Proven ability to network and develop critical partnerships to strengthen and further an organizational agenda, including direct experience securing significant new business relationships.
  • Proven business acumen, including an understanding of the marketplace, competitors, and trends in giving.
  • Demonstrated ability to successfully manage an account portfolio and collaborate strategically with individuals and teams at all levels of the organization.
  • Strong research skills to identify and cultivate new donor opportunities.
  • Ability to travel to meet with partners, attend conferences, and represent the organization externally.

Salary Range 
$130,000 – $135,000 annually 

 

Note: Compensation is based on a candidate's experience, skills, education, and geographic location. This range is based on Washington, D.C.–Maryland–Virginia (DMV) market data; offers to candidates outside this area will reflect local market data. 

 

Work Location 
Hybrid, based in our Old Town Alexandria, VA office (minimum of two days per week with Tuesday as an anchor day)
