Paid training provided to become a Registered Nursing Assistant.
Pay Range: $19.45 - $25.19 per hour. Starting pay is based on experience.
Schedule: Casual, union position. Minimum requirements are at least three shifts per month with one shift being a weekend shift.

The Resident Assistant is responsible for providing high-quality care and services to residents to support the choices of residents, while maintaining consistency with regulations and established best practices.
- Provide medical and physical care to residents to meet their daily needs and enable them to function at the highest possible level based upon resident preferences, regulations and established best practices. Help each resident achieve “their best day”. Demonstrate flexibility to adjust priorities in response to resident needs.
- Assist residents with dressing, grooming, bathing, toileting.
- Assist residents with transferring, repositioning and walking.
- Obtain vital signs accurately and report changes in resident health status.
- Maintain all required documentation in accordance with regulations and established clinical best practices.
- Participate actively in the resident’s care planning and care conference, serving as the residents' closest advocate in providing care and honoring their preferences.
- Create a positive dining experience for customers. Assist residents with eating. Encourage resident participation in the dining program, and meal activities. Assist in preparing, storing, recording and serving meals, beverages and snacks for residents/customers.
- Greet each person with warmth and sincerity. Anticipate needs and provide personalized service.
