Tactical Scheduling
- Develop and maintain daily and weekly production schedules based on customer orders, forecasts, and inventory targets.
- Coordinate batch production and packaging schedules to ensure timely fulfillment of customer demand.
- Adjust schedules in real-time to respond to changes in demand, raw material availability, or equipment downtime. Maintain product available dates on all customer orders.
- Collaborate with production, maintenance, quality, logistics, procurement, and customer service teams to ensure schedule adherence and resolve conflicts.
Strategic Planning
- Conduct long-term capacity planning to align labor, equipment, and material resources with forecasted demand.
- Identify and mitigate bottlenecks in production and packaging processes.
- Support Sales & Operations Planning (S&OP) by providing visibility into production capabilities and constraints.
- Recommend improvements to scheduling processes, tools, and systems to enhance efficiency and responsiveness.
Data & Systems Management
- Maintain accurate scheduling data in ERP/MRP systems.
- Analyze production performance metrics (e.g., schedule adherence, throughput, changeover time) to drive continuous improvement.
- Generate reports and dashboards for leadership to support decision-making.
