Customer Service Intern Owens

Duties: Under the supervision of the Owens Center General Manager, the Customer Service Intern will be responsible for the following:

• Assist the Owens Ice Center front desk staff with customer service functions such as answering phones, greeting guests at the facility, and other operational tasks.
• Assist in maintaining the appearance and cleanliness of all designated areas.
• Assist with concession operations as needed.
• Assist with skating instruction or other duties as assigned related to the skating program.
• As part of the internship program, all interns will assist in several Peoria Park District signature events, as assigned.
• All interns will participate in professional development sessions and team building activities as assigned.
• Follow all safety procedures that pertain to the duties performed; support all aspects of the District’s safety program.
• Perform all other duties as assigned.
• This is a grant-funded position available to both high school-aged individuals up to 15 hours per week and undergraduate-aged individuals up to 20 hours per week.

Education: Status as a current High School or College Undergrad student. Must be at least 16 years old.

Knowledge and Ability:

• Ability to work flexible hours, specifically nights and weekends.
• Ability to focus on detail-oriented tasks.
• Ability to communicate both orally and in writing.
• Some familiarity with Microsoft Office is preferred.
• Ability to be professional, respectful, accountable, innovative, safe, and equitable to both internal and external customers.
