Education: A high school diploma is required. An associate’s degree is preferred.
Experience: A minimum of 3 years as a Vehicle/Equipment Service Technician. A minimum of 3 years of supervisory experience is preferred.
Certifications: Required, current A.S.E. or approved OEM Certifications:
- A1 or T1 Engine Repair.
- A4 or T5 Suspension and Steering.
- A5 or T4 Brakes.
- A6 or T6 Electrical/Electronic Systems
Knowledge and Ability:
- 3 years minimum experience with engine, powertrain, electrical, auxiliary hydraulic, vehicle HVAC, air and hydraulic brake system diagnosis and repair.
- Requires a valid Illinois State Class A Commercial Driver’s License.
- Must be able to read and understand service and operation manuals, and follow written and oral instruction.
- Must be able to prioritize work in a logical and efficient manner.
- Must be able to work alone and efficiently with only occasional supervisory contact.
- Personal: Ability to be professional, respectful, accountable, innovative, to follow safety procedures, and be equitable to both internal and external customers.
