Description

Objective:

The Warehouse Return Merchandise Associate’s primary function is to unload returned route trucks and sort products and materials to correct inventory locations.

Accountabilities:

  • Successfully operate a forklift in a specific area which includes receiving offloading and put away, dunnage sorting and loading.
  • Responsible for dunnage sorting and counting when returned from routes.
  • Manage the bulk return process.
  • Assist the night loading crew with loading and shuttling trucks.
  • Secondary key holder securing the facility at night by making sure all exits and entrances are locked, and alarm has been set.
  • Confirm good dates on all saleable products returned from out in the by putting in appropriate containers and returning to correct pallets.
  • Maintain proper rotation of dates in the re-work area.
  • If non-saleable product is found in the warehouse due to leakers or damage, it is sorted and reworked or disposed of appropriately.
  • All re-worked products will be logged and turned in for proper inventory adjustments.
  • General housekeeping of warehouse in downtime (floors, walls, cobwebs, etc.).
  • Assist in loading trucks for outbound delivery when needed.

Qualifications

Qualifications:

  • At least 1-2 years of experience in handling forklifts, pallet jacks and other PIT equipment.
  • Great attention to detail.
  • Diligent and punctual.
  • Ability to work in a team environment and handle all duties as assigned.
  • Ability to lift approximately 50 lbs. on a repetitive basis from ground level and overhead.
  • Candidate must pass a post offer non-DOT drug screen, physical, lift test and background check.
