Position Overview and Impact:
This role offers a unique opportunity to shape the visual identity and storytelling of a fast-growing organization. As a Creative Marketing Generalist with graphic design expertise, you’ll play a key role in elevating our brand presence across digital and print platforms. Working closely with the Communications Director and Lead Designer, you’ll contribute to both the creative execution and strategic direction of marketing initiatives that reach internal and external audiences. This is a hands-on role for a designer who’s ready to expand their marketing capabilities while making a meaningful impact on how the Smart Circle brand is seen, felt, and understood.
The Basics:
- Location: Newport Beach, CA office
- Hybrid schedule: 2 days onsite with additional in-person presence as needed for corporate events, summits, and other key gatherings
- Compensation: $70,000-80,000/year, commensurate with experience + bonus potential
- Travel: Up to 20%
- Reports To: Director of Communications
Primary Functions:
Creative Content & Graphic Design Leadership
- Conceptualize, design, and produce high-quality, on-brand graphics and videos for marketing efforts including social media, collateral (flyers, presentations, infographics), newsletters, and internal communications
- Maintain strong ownership of brand consistency across all visual outputs
Marketing Strategy & Generalist Growth
- Contribute to brainstorming sessions and execution of new marketing initiatives
- Bring fresh visual concepts to strategic discussions and support broader marketing campaigns and projects as needed
Social Media Content
- Partner with the Social Media Manager to develop visually engaging video stories and photography for social platforms
- Stay current on visual trends and perform basic video editing to enhance content quality
Asset Management & Quality Control
- Maintain a well-organized digital asset library
- Review all visual and video content to ensure quality, brand alignment, and technical accuracy
Team Collaboration
- Work closely with the Communications Director, Lead Designer, and cross-functional teams
- Operate as a proactive, communicative, and supportive team member
Experience and Qualifications:
- A portfolio demonstrating graphic design capabilities, required
- Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, Premiere Pro) and Canva
- Minimum 3 years of experience in a creative role
- Solid understanding of visual branding, design principles, and consistency
- Demonstrated interest in growing as a marketing professional beyond design responsibilities
- Highly organized, detail-oriented, and able to manage multiple creative projects under tight deadlines
- Self-motivated, proactive, and eager to contribute ideas
- Excellent collaboration and teamwork skills
- Willingness and ability to travel approximately 20% for conferences and meetings
