The Corporate Payroll Manager is responsible for overseeing all aspects of payroll operations for 3000+ employees across multi states. This role ensures an accurate and timely payroll, complying with federal and state wage and hour laws and adherence to internal controls and company policies.
Key Responsibilities:
Payroll Management & Processing
- Oversee the end-to-end payroll process for all corporate and property level employees across our portfolio of hotels.
- Ensure payroll is processed accurately and on schedule for all pay periods, including regular, off-cycle and bonus payrolls.
- Verify accuracy of earnings, deductions, taxes, garnishments, and other adjustments.
- Oversee payroll tax compliance, wage garnishments, benefit deductions, and year-end processing (W-2, 1095-Cs).
- Partner with accounting to ensure payroll related general ledger is accurate.
- Provide companywide payroll calendar with timelines.
- Oversee payroll operations for multiple states, ensuring compliance with federal, state, and local regulations related to data privacy and employment records.
- Partner with HR and Accounting to develop and maintain payroll budgets and report analytics.
- Manage and develop the payroll team, providing mentorship, training, and development.
System Administration/Reporting & Compliance
- Collaborate with HRIS, IT and Paycom representatives on upgrades, integrations, and new module implementation.
- Partner with HR and Legal to ensure compliance with union agreements, tip reporting, etc.
- Provide insights into overtime utilization and payroll efficiencies.
- Support accounting audits and month end processes with timely and accurate payroll data.
- Serve as the point of contact for internal and external payroll audits, including those related to tax, benefits, and labor law compliance.
Assist the department with other duties and projects that support the department’s goals.
