Description

Job Purpose:  We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Executive Housekeeper to lead the housekeeping operations for our dual-branded property: Home2 Suites and Tru by Hilton, both located at the same address in Kalamazoo. This role is critical to ensuring our guests experience the highest standards of cleanliness and comfort across both hotels.

Job Responsibilities:  

  • Leadership & Supervision
    • Manage and supervise housekeeping staff across both properties.
    • Schedule, train, and motivate team members to maintain brand standards.
  • Operational Excellence
    • Inspect guest rooms, public areas, and back-of-house spaces for cleanliness and compliance.
    • Maintain inventory of cleaning supplies and linens; place orders as needed.
  • Quality & Safety
    • Ensure adherence to Hilton brand standards and OSHA safety guidelines.
    • Implement and monitor cleaning protocols, including deep cleaning and preventive maintenance.
  • Guest Satisfaction
    • Respond promptly to guest requests and resolve housekeeping-related issues.
    • Collaborate with Front Desk and Maintenance teams to ensure seamless operations.
  • Administrative Duties
    • Prepare daily reports, manage labor costs, and assist with budgeting for housekeeping operations.
  • Other duties as assigned. 


Job Skills: 

  • Apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagrammatic form. Deal with problems involving several concrete variables in or from standardized situations. 
  • Add, subtract, multiply, and divide all units of measure with like common and decimal fractions. Compute ratio, rate, and percent. Draw & interpret bar graphs. Perform arithmetic operations involving American monetary units. 
  • Read and understand instructions, safety rules, etc.  Write reports with proper format, punctuation, spelling, and grammar, using all parts of speech.  Speak with correct English and well-modulated voice. 
  • Determine time, place, and sequence of operations or action to be taken on the basis of analysis of data; executing determination of and/or reporting on events.  Determine or interpret work procedures for a group of workers, assign specific duties, maintain harmonious relations among them and promote efficiency. 


Physical Requirements:  

  • Ability to speak and hear.  
  • Close and distance vision.  
  • Frequently lifts/carries up to 25 lbs.  
  • Continual use of manual dexterity and gross motor skills with frequent use of bi-manual dexterity and fine motor skills. 

Qualifications

Education -  Bachelors Degree in Business or related field preferred. 

Experience -  Minimum 2 years experience as Assistant Exec. Housekeeper, and 2 years housekeeping experience in a commercial environment in a supervisory capacity; OR, equivalent level of education and experience.
