Position Summary: Yellowstone Boys and Girls Ranch Therapeutic Youth Mentor provides direct support, guidance, and mentoring to help youth develop coping skills, improve communication, and build positive relationships. Therapeutic youth mentors are role models that facilitate activities and work collaboratively with other team members to assist youth in reaching their goals.
Starting Salary Range:  $16.19 - $17.59 per hour. Salary reflects steps 1-5 of an 11-step pay schedule. The starting salary will be determined based on the applicant’s education and relevant experience.
Daily and Monthly Responsibilities:Â
- Demonstrate strong interpersonal and customer service skills and ability to engage a diverse group of participants.
- Demonstrate the ability to effectively manage multiple tasks concurrently.
- Ability to exercise and model good judgment, teamwork, and professionalism, especially in crisis situations and creative about finding solutions for them.
- Collaborate with teams, supervisors, educators, community partners and families to develop and implement comprehensive treatment plans and supporting youth’s complex needs.
- Create and conduct necessary documentation accurately and able maintain documentation expectations in the Electronic Medical Record (EMR).
