Heavy Equipment Operator - Ozark, MO

Capital Materials is looking to hire a few Heavy Equipment Operators for our Ozark, MO Quarry. 

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Operating equipment in a safe and efficient manner under varying weather conditions, while exposed to dampness, fumes, dust, electrical, mechanical, and traffic hazards.
• Being knowledgeable in the operation of multiple pieces of industry-related equipment.
• Routine maintenance on the equipment, including keeping equipment clean and operable.
• Communicate with the foreman and coworkers to the daily job specifications.
• Perform general labor duties when necessary.
• Operate power-driven machinery such as jackhammers, tampers, or other similarly sized equipment.
• Operates one or more of the following pieces of heavy construction equipment skillfully, safely, and in accordance with traffic laws and regulations: rock cutters, front-end loaders (four cubic yards and over), bulldozers, and other lightweight, medium-weight, and heavy-duty equipment.
• Work with a labor crew when not operating equipment.
• Due to changes and modifications in the job from time to time, employees are required to be flexible and assume other responsibilities assigned by management as deemed necessary.
• Work with powered and non-powered hand tools (i.e. rakes, shovels, etc.).
• Must be punctual, have a strong work ethic, and maintain a good attendance record.

REQUIREMENTS:  

• Experience in the operation of heavy equipment is required.
• Must pass a pre-employment physical, drug/alcohol screen, and background check.
