Barback PT

Modern Love at the Fairlane Hotel in Downtown Nashville is looking to add a Barback to the team. This position would support bartenders and ensures the bar operates efficiently by maintaining stock levels, keeping the bar area clean, and assisting with prep work. The ideal candidate is fast-paced, detail-oriented, and thrives in a high-energy environment.

• Replenish stock behind the bar, including liquor, beer, wine, mixers, ice, garnishes, and glassware.

• Clean and restock glassware throughout the shift.

• Remove trash and recycling and ensure bar cleanliness.

• Assist with bar setup and breakdown at the start and end of shifts.

• Support bartenders during busy hours by preparing garnishes, changing kegs, and retrieving supplies.

• Support bar by preparing syrups, juices, and other key elements of the bar program.

• Maintain knowledge of bar layout and supply storage.

• Follow all food safety and hygiene guidelines.

• Communicate effectively with bartenders and bar staff.

• Previous bar or hospitality experience preferred but not required.

• Ability to lift heavy items (up to 50 lbs) and stand for long periods.

• Team player with a positive attitude and strong work ethic.

• Willingness to work nights, weekends, and holidays.

• Ability to lift, bend, reach, and stoop frequently.

• Capable of working in a noisy, fast-paced environment.

• Ability to work on your feet for 6–10 hours per shift.
