Job Description: As a Maintenance Technician, you will be responsible for resolving mechanical and electronic problems and performing various maintenance and repair tasks to ensure the efficient operation of our facilities and equipment. This hands-on role requires strong technical skills and the ability to troubleshoot and resolve maintenance issues. You will be working with conveyors, electronics (AC & DC), hydraulics, heavy equipment, trucks and trailers.
Responsibilities: Perform preventive maintenance tasks to ensure optimal performance and longevity of equipment as assigned by management. Troubleshoot, diagnose and repair diesel mechanical and electrical on plant equipment, lift trucks, heavy equipment, and semi-truck and trailer such as low voltage wiring, circuits, fuses, switches, motors, hydraulics, and pneumatics. Execute timely hydraulic, pneumatic, and mechanical machine repairs. Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, including work orders and inventory. Collaborate with other team members to complete maintenance projects. Effectively communicate with management, about diagnostics, repair steps taken, and estimated time of completion.
Physical Requirements:
-Frequent climbing, stooping, reaching, pulling, pushing, twisting, bending, kneeling, crawling, and grasping.
- Standing and walking for extended periods.
- Repetitively lift and carry 20 and 50 lbs.
- Lift, push, and pull up to 50 lbs. frequently (unassisted).
- Use hand tools, power tools, and precision-measuring and testing instruments, both mechanical and electrical.
- Work in confined spaces and climb several flights of stairs and ladders up to 150 feet.
- Hearing, seeing (acuity - near and far).
- Exposure to environmental conditions (frequently walking in and outdoors) with exposure to extreme cold and warm temperatures
