Position Overview:Â
In alignment with Monogram Foods’ Core Values and Health & Safety (HS) Team Policies, the Manager, Health and Safety Programs supports the company’s continual improvement efforts in health and safety performance. This position provides direct support to the Vice President, Health & Safety and all Monogram locations on matters related to health, safety, and security.
The Manager, Health and Safety Programs is responsible for developing, implementing, and overseeing company-wide health and safety programs that protect team members, ensure regulatory compliance, and promote a culture of safety across all facilities. This role provides leadership in hazard prevention, risk management, and incident response, while partnering with plant and corporate leaders to drive consistent practices. The Manager also leads training initiatives to strengthen awareness, knowledge, and accountability for safe work practices at every level of the organization.
This position reports to the Vice President, Health & Safety.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
•   Support Corporate EH&S efforts to implement risk mitigation, injury prevention and health & safety compliance initiatives to continually improve overall health & safety performance throughout Monogram.
•   Identify and recommend improvements to health & safety systems to reduce costs, increase productivity and efficiency, and improve overall safety culture and performance.
•   Serve as subject matter expert, providing technical guidance concerning health & safety issues.
•   Monitor the development and revision of applicable health & safety regulations for potential impacts on Monogram locations and operations.
•   Support execution of Corporate EH&S tactical and strategic plans to improve EH&S performance.
•   Develop and update necessary health & safety policy, procedure and training content and assist in training delivery.
•   Coordinate tracking of Monogram health & safety performance metrics.
•   Assist with OSHA and DOL investigations and citation response and follow-up.
•   Monitor site health & safety corrective and preventive actions to ensure timely follow-up and implementation.
•   Develop and implement an internal corporate health & safety audit process.
•   Maintain and monitor web-based EH&S incident management system M.E.S.H.
•   Support site incident and injury reporting, investigation, and recordkeeping; and worker’s compensation claims and site Return to Work program.
•   Coordinate site contractor safety program.
•   Ensure key HS records are properly maintained.
•   Promote and support positive behaviors around health and safety issues.
•   Other duties as assigned.
