Position Summary:
As a Maintenance Technician I, you will provide support to operations in order to meet production needs. Maintenance Technician’s will perform on hands preventative maintenance, diagnosing and repairing of mechanical systems on a daily basis and will provide support as needed to help identify and prevent mechanical malfunctions.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Locate sources of problems by observing mechanical devices in operation; listening for problems; using precision measuring and testing instruments.
- Diagnose problems, replace or repair parts, test and make adjustments.
- Perform regular preventive maintenance on machines, equipment and plant facilities.
- Provide emergency/unscheduled repairs of production equipment during production and performs scheduled maintenance repairs of production equipment during machine service.
- Perform mechanic duties/ projects, but not limited to, mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, hydraulic, troubleshooting and repair of production machines.
- Read and interpret equipment manuals and work orders to perform required maintenance and service.
- Use a variety of hand and power tools, electric meters and material handling equipment in performing duties.
- Diagnose mechanical problems, using visual and auditory senses, test systems and technical publications.
- Comply with safety regulations and maintain clean and orderly work areas.
- Ensures Operation of machinery and mechanical equipment by completing preventive maintenance requirements.
