General Merch Clerk

Job Duties:

• Greet all customers in a friendly manner.
• Receive and thoroughly verify incoming loads from Unfi and Vallarta Supermarkets Warehouse.
• Report and document all product shortages to Vallarta Warehouse and Unfi.
• Ad items should be placed on sales floor for Customer purchase and properly cross merchandised according to the Grocery display map.
• All shippers must be placed on sales floor immediately for Customer purchase.
• Contact vendors in order to place merchandise orders and request services on a weekly basis
• Collect merchandise (empty packages) and compile empty package report and send to corresponding personnel.
• Receive and place all Thaw and Serve Merchandise on the sales floor for Customer purchase
• Ensure all product is properly rotated and marked with corresponding shelf life.
• Liquor loads must be checked by individual unit and any broken bottles should be kept at store level to receive appropriate credit.
• Place all AD reserve orders in a timely manner to ensure that seasonal and regular products are available for Customer purchase.
• Assist and participate with Company marketing promotional events and programs as needed
• And all other assigned job duties.
