SUMMARY:
Under the general supervision of the Associate Medical Director and Psychosocial Services Manager, the AMFT will work with an inter-disciplinary team to ensure that quality psychosocial services are delivered to health center patients.
This position is represented by SEIU-UHW. Salaries and benefits are set by a collective bargaining agreement (CBA), and an employee in this position must remain a member in good standing of SEIU-UHW, as defined in the CBA.
JOB DUTIES:

Provides comprehensive psychosocial assessments, mental health diagnoses, treatment plans and implements short-term counseling using appropriate modalities for patients with issues such as: depression, anxiety, trauma, grief/loss, addiction, domestic violence, behavioral health problems, and psychosocial stressors. Works predominantly within clinic, but may include home visit services.

As a team member, assists with crisis intervention and triage as needed. Crisis intervention includes assessment, de-escalation, and notifying the public mental health crisis response team if necessary.
