JOB SUMMARY
Under the general supervision of the Coordinated Specialty Care-Early Onset Supervisor (CSC-EO), trains and provides job and education coaching skills, to individuals participating in the CSC-EO program. Duties involve developing and maintaining long-term contact with individuals in services, their families, and service providers for medical, social, educational, substance abuse and related service needs. Will help individuals in the program to pursue permanent competitive jobs and/or academic opportunities in mainstream, integrated educational settings. Travel within the Pecan Valley region is required. Services may be provided at the office, in-home, or other community locations as needed to meet the needs of those served. Must be familiar with, and/or willing to be trained in, trauma-informed care. This includes understanding, recognizing, and responding to the effects of all types of trauma, and an ability to work in an environment where staff convey dignity, respect, hopefulness, and the opportunity for choice and empowerment among consumers.
DUTIES & ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS
Teaches effective work/school habits, interpersonal skills, back to work/school adjustment skills, and work skills. This will include discussing goals for employment and education, assisting in gathering identification documentation for employment, assisting with completing job applications and submitting resumes. Monitors vocational and school activities and completes necessary reports. Will also participate in weekly mental health treatment meetings and regular supervision sessions.
