Description

The Corporate Coach Sales Manager is responsible for overseeing all motorcoach sales, operations, and after-hours support for Kobussen Buses Ltd. This role ensures the strategic growth and efficient operation of the motorcoach fleet, manages the sales and dispatch teams, and is the primary contact for after-hours coach issues. The ideal candidate is a dynamic leader with strong organizational, sales, and customer service skills, capable of managing both the daily business and long-term strategy of the department.

Essential Responsibilities:

Sales & Customer Relations

  • Lead and manage the motorcoach sales team to meet and exceed sales targets.
  • Hold monthly sales meetings and quarterly leadership updates.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with customers, travel agencies, and marketing groups.
  • Pursue new contracts and promote the company's brand and services.
  • Forecast sales trends, prepare performance reports, and maintain a robust customer database.
  • Coordinate advertising and marketing campaigns for motorcoach bookings.

Operational Oversight

  • Oversee the dispatching and operational aspects of all motorcoach trips.
  • Ensure compliance with all federal and state regulations.
  • Maintain central records for motorcoach activities.
  • Collaborate with terminal managers to recruit and onboard new drivers.
  • Monitor maintenance schedules and inspections of all coaches.
  • Foster a cooperative relationship with garage and technical staff.

After-Hours Support

  • Serve as the primary after-hours contact for motorcoach issues, including arranging assistance for breakdowns or trip disruptions.
  • Be available for on-call rotation to support drivers and customers outside standard business hours.

Administrative & Strategic Planning

  • Prepare and manage departmental budgets.
  • Maintain current knowledge of legislative and industry trends affecting pricing, pay scales, and service.
  • Assist in hiring, training, and evaluating department staff.
  • Prioritize tasks and schedules to align with the company’s goals and customer expectations.

Supervisory Responsibilities:

Manage all sales, dispatch, and driver personnel in the motorcoach department.

Qualifications

Education & Experience:

  • Degree in Business or related field preferred, or 2-4 years of equivalent experience in sales and dispatch.
  • Demonstrated experience in managing teams and meeting sales goals.

Skills:

  • Strong leadership and interpersonal skills.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office and dispatch/booking software.
  • Analytical skills to interpret data and trends.
  • Ability to multitask and manage high-level priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Knowledge of motorcoach operations, industry standards, and geographic service areas.
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a CDL with S & P endorsements preferred.

Work Conditions:

Primarily office-based with travel to terminals and customer sites as needed. Standard hours are 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM with flexibility; availability outside normal hours is required for emergency response.
