WHAT YOU BRING:
Education/Training:
- Bachelor's degree required, Master's degree preferred.
- Current State of Illinois License for Occupational Therapist (IDFPR).
Experience:
- Experience working which children and adults ages 3-22 years.
- Experience with autism spectrum disorders and other diagnosis (i.e., Intellectual disability, Developmental delay, etc.).
Skill Sets:
- Ability to fulfill all necessary training requirements of the agency, including but not limited to, crisis management (crisis mangagement training includes de-escalataion strategies and physical management techniques).
- Ability to conduct and interpret assessments via team and individual evaluations.
- Ability to plan and conduct individual and group therapies.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Ability to promote and adhere to company values.

WORK ENVIRONMENT:
- The person in this position needs to occasionally move about to assist clients/students, access file cabinets, office machinery, etc.Â
- The ability to observe details at a close range (within a few feet of the observer).Â
- Consistently position self to maintain files in file cabinets or assist clients/students.Â
- The ability to communicate information and ideas so others will understand. Must be able to exchange accurate information in these situations.Â
- The person in this position may encounter clients exhibiting physical aggression; must be comfortable working in periods of crisis and feel comfortable de-escalating individually or as a team.
