Description

Summary: Manages extrusion machine(s) with 1inch to 3inch diameters that has 4 to 8 heat zones and extrudes a poly plastic coat continuously over wire. Verifies and test all wire and cable by using calipers and cutters. Determines the Correct outer Diameter, wall thickness, conductor gauge, and if the wire/conductor is centered. Verifies the proper label on each spool and the proper coding is printed on the jacket. Verifies that the label matches the traveler and is placed on the correct reel size. Also, works with and periodically cross trains an Extruder Assistant. Assist in the Extrusion Assistant position when needed, including packaging products and materials. Operating a Dual Reel Take Up, (up to a) 72in. walk through take up machine, spark box, dialed or touch screen, and setting up a ink wheel or program an Ink jet print system. Also, adheres to all palletizing procedures when applicable. Quality assurance and verification is priority as a Primary Extruder Operator. Completes any and all other duties requested or assigned.
