Join Jensen Infrastructure as a Class A Line Driver. You will be responsible for safely delivering precast products and adhering to DOT regulations, while providing excellent customer service.
WHAT YOU’LL BE DOING
- Secure and Transport large precast materials.
- Advise supervisor of any issues after pre-trip inspections are completed; communicates with dispatch as needed during
the course of the day.
- Understand and be fully aware of all DOT guidelines and adhere to such regulations; maintain logs of working hours and
of vehicle service and repair status following applicable state and federal regulations; check all load-related documentation to
ensure that it is complete and accurate; immediately report vehicle defects, accidents, traffic violations, or damage to the vehicles.
- Ensure proper customer service by reviewing and comparing invoice to what product is loaded; collects delivery
instructions from appropriate sources, verifying instructions, and requested routes/drop off location; reads and interpret maps in
order to determine vehicle routes; drive trucks to weigh stations before and after loading and along routes, in order to document
weights and to comply with state regulations; obtain receipts or signatures when loads are delivered to customers.
- Work closely with your dispatcher to confirm routes.
- Maintain logs and ensure compliance with regulations.
- Ensure on-time delivery of products to our customers.
WHO WE ARE LOOKING FOR
- 2+ years driver experience strongly preferred
- Valid Class A CDL
- Experience using flatbed trailers to secure and transport large and heavy loads
- Commitment to safety and quality work
