Qualifications:
- Must be 21 years of age or older
- Minimum High School Diploma or equivalent
- Current Georgia driver’s license
- Current vehicle insurance
- Acceptable Motor Vehicle Report
- Dependable vehicle
- FBI criminal background clearance
- Must be authorized to work in the U.S.
- Have or be able to obtain CPR/First Aid Certification
- Ability to successfully complete behavior support training
- Ability to work professionally in home and community settings with clients and their families.
- Ability to communicate professionally and effectively (effective listening, verbal, and writing skills) with clients, family members, Inspiritus personnel at all levels, and community members.
- Ability to understand and maintain confidentiality requirements.
- The position requires frequent movement including walking, bending, reaching, squatting, sitting, pushing, and pulling throughout a work shift.
- Ensure compliance with agency, local, state, and federal policies, procedures, rules and regulations.
Preferred Education and Experience
- Associate’s degree or higher education in psychology, sociology, or special education
- Experience working with individuals with Intellectual and/or Developmental Disabilities; experience working with the Georgia Department of Behavioral Health and Developmental Disabilities (DBHDD)
- Caregiving experience: 1 year or more
- Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA), Personal Care Aide (PCA), Home Health Aide (HHA)
