Position Overview:

As a Precision Golf Territory Manager, you will play a key role in building and maintaining strong relationships with both new and existing clients. You’ll be at the forefront of innovation in golf technology, collaborating with top-tier clients across a territory that spans from Orange County to North Los Angeles.

What you'll do

  • Build and maintain strong, long-term relationships with golf course superintendents, turf managers, and other key decision-makers
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for clients within your assigned territory
  • Manage customer accounts- selling new and/or used technologies to meet their needs and goals
  • Identify new business opportunities and generate leads through networking, referrals, and industry events
  • Meet or exceed sales targets by promoting precision golf and turf technology solutions
  • Manage a defined sales territory (Orange County to North Los Angeles), including travel to client sites and industry events
  • Maintain a regular schedule of client visits, product demonstrations, and follow-ups
  • Provide expert guidance on precision golf technology, including GPS systems, turf sensors, and data-driven turf management tools
  • Conduct product demonstrations and training sessions for clients and prospects
  • Work closely with internal teams (service, support, and marketing) to ensure customer satisfaction and seamless service delivery
  • Represent the company at trade shows, golf industry events, and local association meetings to build brand awareness and generate leads
  • Set up customer clinics on new John Deere and third-party systems
  • Day-to-day responsibilities could vary with new responsibilities introduced often, and will require someone who is organized and able to complete long-term projects while simultaneously solving day-to-day problems
  • Work must be completed in a safe, professional, and timely manner
  • Must enjoy a mix of Sales, Service, and Support
  • Field Installs and troubleshooting existing systems

 

What it Takes

  • Able to work a varying work schedule/shift and be flexible to respond to after-hours calls.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills

  • Strong organizational and time management skills
  • Able to pass a pre-employment physical and drug screen
  • Have and maintain a clean driving record
  • Able to work in inclement weather
  • Must own your tools
  • 3+ years of technical experience in operating and supporting precision products such as GIS, VRT, GPS,
  • Spatial Analysis, and Telematics or working with new and developing technology such as Computer software, GPS, Data
  • Management, Land-leveling systems, Sensors, NDVI, etc.
  • Experience working with Golf equipment, familiarity with John Deere Greenstar systems
  • Experience with irrigation systems, especially Sub-Drip Irrigation (SDI), irrigation scheduling, and consulting
  • Experience with fertility scheduling and consulting
  • Understands data collection and analysis
  • Demonstrated agronomic consulting and skills
  • Certified Crop Advisor accreditation
  • Skills in managing risk, managing change, negotiation, and conflict resolution
  • Understanding of John Deere (or equivalent) vehicles and implements

Education

  • Required: High School or better
  • Preferred: Some college or better in Business Administration or a related field

Experience

  • Prefer 1 year of experience as a service technician
  • Prefer 3 years of technical experience related to precision technology such as GIS, VRT, GPS, Spatial Analysis, and Telematics or working with new and developing technology such as Computer software, GPS, Data Management, and Land-leveling systems, Sensors, NDVI, etc.
  • Fluent in Spanish is helpful but not required
